LIVERPOOL 7TH IT COULD BE WORSE

After a great night at Anfield and retaining 7th place . Yes I know 7th place is not what all reds would want . But things could be a lot worse . Lets take the plight of Al-Wathba top team in the city of Homs one of the oldest  Asian football clubs . They where founded in1938 and where flying high in the Syrian League ( see below ) up until December when the  league was suspended . Due to the uprising . I can just not imagine what it is like to have your league thrown into such turmoil by such terrible events . What is the fate of the supporters also the players . It is a reality check on what it must of been like in this country in the the 2 World Wars . But this is a civil war a lot more nasty .   Al-Wathba  being a team from Homs one of the main areas of opposition to the ASSAD regime . Also top of the League with his loyalty's lying with one of the Damascus teams he could of being killing 2 birds with 1 stone . Surely not but it could of tipped the balance on a brutal clamp down on Homs other than ,another city . Who knows what goes on in the mind of a tyrant . Lets hope that the situation improves and Al-Wathba go on to win the league a little bit of cheer for the people of Homs . YNWA

The seasons league will feature two stages. Stage one will pit two groups of eight teams and kicked off on the 9th October. The top four off each group would advance to the Championship pool to determine the overall league champions. The bottom four placed sides would enter the relegation pool to determine who would be relegated. 

TIME TO WIELD THE AXE KENNY

Footballers at the prem level are paid huge amounts of money . That is why when they cross that white line they should give their all for the shirt they are wearing at the time . Kenny is always going on about the history of Liverpool Football club . How it is an huge honour to wear the Liverpool shirt giving your all on the pitch for the club. As there are no qualms  that he did give his all as a Liverpool player .

I personally dont care if a player stays out all night in (night clubs, brothels lap, dancing dens, benders at music festivals) . I dont care if a player (drinks 15 pints, takes drugs, has group sex with as many people as he wants)

As long as when he crosses that white line on the pitch he gives his all for the club . Yesterday at Sunderland a lack of effort and guile from the players was as bad as the Bolton game .I don't want to go through the team they all looked miss jointed . It was as if they have binned the League just having eyes on a second glory trip to Wembley . Clime the steps collect their medals and then plan their exit from the club .

Well Kenny should be the one doing the planning to get rid of the players who take that stance . But he should do it now giving places to players who want to wear the Red Shirt . If that means calling on the reserves or the youth so be it . I would sooner go out of the cup rather than sacrifice the policy that every game is the biggest game in Liverpool shirt . In a Liverpool shirt there should be no less effort from playing in Swaziland in a friendly to the Champion League Final . With the Liverpool derby on Tuesday the players yet again have to show there commitment from a sorry nonperformance from the previous game . This stop start attitude has got to stop the only way to do this, is for Kenny to wield the big axe . Dont let the players hold you to ransom over cup commitment do it now Kenny . You know it makes sense for the clubs sake...... Y.N.W.A

THE PRIDICATABLE WAY IS NOT THE LIVERPOOL WAY

The last person to win the golden boot in a Liverpool shirt is now a Man United player . Yes it was Owen he won it twice. He won it two years in succession 1998-99 with 18 goals each time . The first time he shared it with 2 other players . The second with one other player . But what ever it has been a long time since a Liverpool player had such a honour . I am convinced that Suarez is a better all round striker than Owen . Suarez has got far more tricks in his locker than Owen did . But he is on his own with opposition teams happy to deal with Suarez with danger coming from no where else . But all it takes is 3 to 4 other players scoring on a regular basis and Suarez will have a field day . That is what happened with Owen with a high percentage of the team scoring . Successful Liverpool teams have had their scoring rate spread out amongst the team . Giving the opposition the dilemma of not knowing which player to concentrate on . Giving our more talented goal scorers a field day . Andy Carroll is neither of these things at the moment . He is playing in a deeper holding role to be honest he is not bad at it . But with a lack of targets other than Suarez it is predictable . After all he is the so called target man. But it frustrates me his inability to attack the ball in the box and get in front of the defender .

These are the reasons why Liverpool have been drawing so many home games . We are very much the predictable one trick pony . We need to mix it about more from training ground to Anfield . Keep them guessing lets try new stuff using the best playing surface in the Prem to are advantage . At the the moment in the away dressing room after they have warmed up the away manager speaks .

“Right we know how they will play the playing surface is second to none” . “Keep it tight we will get a chance on this pitch I have got confidence we can take it” . EASY!!!!

What they should be saying is If they play this way do that . If they play that way do this and so on . We need to keep the opposition guessing . If I can see what we are doing week in week out . A professional Prem manager would have no problem . Having watched Liverpool all my life I want the team to surprise me as a supporter . In the cup winning years they would surprise me every week . I never knew which way they would play other than a win . The enjoyment was immense in which way they would secure the win . Would it be plan A B C D E F G and so on . Just when I thought I knew all the plans they would come up with a new one . Sometimes I would secretly wish we would go a goal down so I would see a new plan go into action . Great de-cussing it at the after match pint or ten . Now we are like the Tory government plan A that’s it.

Now that it looks likely that Champions League football has bit the dust for fuck sake lets experiment no one will hold it against Kenny for that. Lets keep the opposition guessing . Lets call on the youth or reserves to aid Suarez .For fuck sake lets take a chance the.......
