EAVIS A SEX MACHINE AND THE L.A. RIOTS

The temperature is rising and Spring is in the air . At this time of year my mind usually wanders to Summer . Which for me the first event that springs to mind is GLASTONBURY . Alas this year it is a Glastonbury free year due to the country trying to rip us off with a sporting event . Well played Mr Eavis the extra cost it would entailed to put the festival on . Would surly of had to be passed on to the ticket price at a time when money is really tight . Its by know means the first time Mr Eavis has clearly put the future of the festival in mind . Over the years there has been many every think from foot and mouth to security . Having been involved in the festival for over 30 years . Witnessing his love for the festival which is second to none.
Michael Eavis

One of my early memory’s of such love came in 1992 on the Pyramid Stage . All through 90s I had the great honour of being part of the Pyramid on stage crew . In the 90s the amount of people attending the festival was far more than it is now 200.000 plus . True not many people paid the place was crazy packed . But as always at Glastonbury people looked after each other all adding to the amazing buzz of the place . As we looked out from the stage in the 90s watching the place fill up . One of the comments that would come out was.
“ALL THIS FOR 12 JAPANESE STUDENTS ” Hinting at they where the only people who had bought a ticket .

Carter USM
In 1992 the head line act on the pyramid was Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine (U.S.M) . Two young lads playing thrash indie guitars to backing samples . Their lyrics where infectious and street wise really hit the spot with the young indie type. USM merchandise was every where it seemed every one was wearing a Carter T shirt . They had the big slot. The slot Oasis took full advantage of some years later . They where big but this gig was going to propel the band into orbit. There crew was every where setting up the day before. A strange bunch all wearing kilts not at all that sociable . The show that was being set up was impressive . I was looking forward to the visual effect . I will try to explain .

At the back of the stage they had a huge Catherine wheel brimming with U. V lights . The U.V lights projected out into the crowd with tremendous power . Out off stage by the PA wings were two canons either side with funnels on top. Their crew on cue would load out of plastic bags thousands of U.V foam balls into the cannons. All the balls had the bands logos on . They were to be propelled into the crowd in there thousands . I think there was 25.000 to each cannon . The crowd would instinctively start throwing them about . For the U.V light to pick them up giving the image of thousands of dots flying over the crowd . I am convinced it would have been spectacular . I am surprised no one has come up with the idea since . But there was a big spanner in the works . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carter_USM
U.V Catherine wheel

This came in the form of a band from L.A called FISHBONE . I would always do a bit of research on the bands I would be crewing on . Fishbone had a reputation for being controversial in their live shows . They where all on one having earlier in year being wrapped up in the L.A riots. They where on the bill before Carter so the crowd was huge . I did comment to the stage manger that this band could be wild . His answer was “I have seen it all no worries”.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HclZkAZXCc  Fishbone live at Glastonbury 1992

The instant Fishbone came on stage it was mad . The band was armed with super blaster water pistols new in the U.K . The crew was blasted with water there was 8 in the band plus their crew we all got a soaking . The lead singer came on with a trombone blasted it a few times . Slung it in the crowd quickly following it making his way on top of the crowd to the mixing tower . He spent half the set at the mixing tower and an age getting back . The crowd loved it but the set ran over by at least 40 minuets . I did get a nod off the stage manger as if to say ok wild was the right word .
FISHBONE

With Mr Eavis under pressure from the powers that be the music cut off had to be 12 midnight. With Carters crew now on stage with no drums little actual band equipment our crew where told we could go if we wanted . With most of the crew not into two lads with backing samples they did not need telling twice. But I was intrigued liking there lyrics still do also looking forward to the illusion with the U.V foam balls . As they came on stage the crowd went mad . The stage was empty there must have been 6 people including the 2 lads . I knew the lost time had to be made up . That meant one thing no encore looking at how fired up the two young lads were that was not good . The atmosphere on stage really reflected that it was strange . The crowd were loving it as it came to the last song of the main set . A few balls from the sides of the stage had been released . The U.V lights from the back of the stage had been tested you could see the the illusion of the balls starting to kick in it looked good .

The two boys went behind the curtain buzzing . One said not sure if it was Jim Bob or Fruit Bat . “This is fucking great we are going to smash it to them” I think it was their manger came over “They are not going to let you go back on” he said

The two lads could not believe it they where crying with rage . I have never been in such a vibe so strange . The two lads where in tantrum mode . Mr Eavis came up the ramp of the Pyramid the two lads made a b -line for him . All the time the crowd was deafening MORE!!!MORE!!! it added to the tension . The 2 lads pleaded with Mr Eavis but the future of the festival was more important . With the powers that be waiting to pounce with noise metres and court dates . Mr Eavis could of not tried to explain personally but he did. It was his decision for the future and love of the festival . The lads went into melt down . Making a lunge for Mr Eavis grabbing him pushing him to the wall we pulled them off it was all over . The crowd finally stopped screaming . Carter had been sacrificed for the future of the festival unfortunate but in the light of things a small price to pay .

So just one hard call Mr Eavis has taken over years . Long my he continue to do so he gets 99.9% so right. Respect !!!!!!

"OPEN MIKE" SPREADING ITS WINGS

With the live music being strangled with tacky shows like the X factor . Its good to see more organic live music pastimes steady increasing round the country . Thinking back to the late 80s early 90s the word was Jam . But mostly done behind closed doors in peoples back kitchens. Pop stars passing the time in recording studios. All on a musician to musician basis . The only time the great British public would catch one of these exciting unpredictable performances. Was at party’s festivals round the fire . Or the more music orientated pub dotted hear and there.
FLEECE FIRKIN BRISTOL

Over the last 5 years The OPEN MIKE stance has come into play . Up and down the UK pubs are trying every think to keep their heads above water . The open mike if done properly is a winner . The first open mike I attended was a lot bigger than the ones I attend now .

In the late 80s in the Fleece and Firkin Bristol a 500 plus capacity venue . Every Sunday afternoon coordinated by Talisman saxophonist Brendan Whitmore he labelled it as Next in Line . Musicians would turn up do there thing on a next in line basis slowly building up to a organic band finale . The audience would love it because they would see the music build up . Of course any of the audience could get up on stage there was plenty of percussion up there . The stage was miked up there was  fold back going though a 10k rig. On average 150 to 200 would attend Next in line lasted over 3 years . The venue would have been shut on a Sunday afternoon so it was extra beer sales .
Next in Line OMC Brendan Whitmore

Now days its OPEN MIKE . Although on a smaller scale but a lot more widespread in little groups . But things are changing little groups are starting to mingle .
STEVE YEOMANS
(When your a good OMC you get your painting on the wall)
THE OXFORD Bristol

Stevie Yeomans is a new breed of young open mike coordinator or OMC he is bringing two areas together . He is the OMC of a very successful night in the Oxford Pub in Totterdown Bristol a stones throw from Temple Meads Station . He is also OMC at The George and Dragon in his home town of Knighton mid Wales also successful . It is a 200 mile round trip but musicians of the two areas are intermingling swapping gigs and ideas . Steve is hoping to connect other areas throw the net wider. Then maybe have one off s in bigger venues bringing the different areas together . He is the best OMC I have seen up to now . But he is keen to network with like minded all now possible with social networks .
So who knows OPEN MIKES might be staged in arenas with none of the X factor tackiness .The paying public  enjoying the musical twists and turns with maybe the chance to say “I WAS THERE”!!!!!!!!

THE POWER OF THIS GUITAR

Eddie Cochran

Eddie Cochran died in a car crash on a country road in the early sixty’s . The legacy of his guitar lived on . His taxi he was in hit a lamp post outside Chippenham Wiltshire . One of the first police officers at the crash site . Was a young Dave Dee later off sixty’s chart topping band Dave Dee Dozy Beaky Mick and Titch. Cochran was rushed to a hospital in Bath where he later died . The young copper Dee took Cochran’s guitar back to to the police station . He practised on the guitar for 2 weeks until it was officially claimed back . This short time with Cochran’s guitar inspired the young copper to pack in the police force to pursue a career in music .

Dave Dee

Early in the Tour a young fan who had blagged his way back stage . Helping Cochran’s band pack away their gear. He had proudly carried the same guitar to Cochran’s car and handed it to him . That fan carrying guitar was a young Marc Bolan. Obviously getting the same vibes from the powerful guitar . Sadly after huge success Bolans fate was to be the same as Cochran’s . He too was involved in a fatal car crash . The difference being he was in a private car it hit a tree not a lamp post . But in both cases they were not the drivers.of the cars.

The captain backed Luis Suarez

Translated from

The Sky Captain Diego Lugano, backed Luis Suarez in the midst of the controversy sparked by not saluting the French Patrice Evra.
Speaking to Channel 10, Lugano said "we admire him because you have to have guts to do what he did." Lugano explained that the other members of the team called the Salta to support it.
"Luis has gone through a few months he did not deserve, it has nothing to do, all of us in football know it's a big circus" reflected Lugano.
On the other hand said that "we must keep in mind that England is a country historically colonial and racism is very delicate, but we know that has nothing to do with the relationship between Louis and the player of Manchester. It is a discussion of football much false and hypocritical moralist advantage "

UNIT 3 WHERE ARE THEY NOW

UNIT 3 WHERE ARE THEY NOW

Its ten years ago that Unit 3 studios switched ownership to the capable hands of Massive Attack . The 10 years it traded as Unit 3 there was a average of 30 bands going through its doors a week . Ten years on I am going to have a look at where are they now . What success they have had and who they are they working with. It should make interesting reading. I will profile a band or artist as I get the up to date information on what they are doing now . Here is a list naming some of the bands that graced Unit 3.

Spritulized
Strangelove
Patrick Duff
Smith and Mighty
Portishead
Blue Aeroplanes
The Eff Word
Jimmy Johnston
John Parish /P.J Harvey
Andy Sheppard
Jesus +Mary Chain
Crashland
Halo
Grand Drive
K Passa / Kasabian
Monk + Canatella
Goldfrapp
Radon Daughters
John Langley
Gee baby I love you
John Dalton
Copter
Rodney Allan
Moksha
Fab 208
Sofa
Assembly
THE RADON DAUGHTERS

Unit 3 was opened in 1991 it was previously a state of the art recording studio . The owner decided to call it a day and change it back to a industrial unit . Norm Wilson and Kim Brooke viewed the premises deciding that would be such a waste. Done a deal opening it as a rehearsal/recording studios . It had bands though its doors before the lease was sighed . With out a doubt it was a big influence in the success of the Bristol music push in 90s . Today it is still knocking music in hands of Bristol most famous sons Massive Attack.

THE FIRST WHERE ARE THEY NOW WHAT ARE THEY UP TO           END OF THE WEEK

PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS E.MAILS INFO

Evra and Man u THINGS TO COME

Many media outlets have commented on . How Evra is such an intelligent man he can speak 4 languages . He is a new type of footballer . A footballer that  uses the so called politically correct changes to his!!! stroke teams""" advantage . To me he is an intelligent head worker . He understands the way that modern football works and the dark road it is heading down . Let me put a imaginary spin on it to explain my point.

In the year 2020 Huddersfield England . Frank Dobson had no Qualifications left school . But was destined to become England’s football Captain an incredible young prospect . But he failed his written test that enabled him to become a professional footballer . His young head was spinning all he wanted to do was play football . He lost all confer-dance and never made the grade a big loss to football fans every where.

The things that a player can do and can not do was 86 pages long and that’s nothing to do with football. It would fry any working class lad or girl wanting to become a Processional Footballer.

The players in ten years are of a low standards they can not express themselves with football skill. They are in fear of breaking the hundreds of politicly correct rules . That could be used against them or their team on or of the field in the media or in court. Players had to fork out for on pitch lawyers going out lawyers farting lawyers T.V lawyers and so on. The week before 3 players were given straight reds for speaking within a metre of a T.V microphone . The fans lost patience with the game football went into free fall . Attendances plummeted T.V ratings dived hundreds of football pundits ended on the scrap heap . Or brown nosed their way into the Golf world.

The likes of Evra have started to take football down this road . He is a footballer he should know its all about football if its not the game will die. Things are said on a one to one basis on a football pitch . If in some way he was upset by what was said. He should of answered it with his skill as a footballer. Not go off the pitch opening a can of worms were no one is going to benefit.

Suarez is a player I have followed long before he arrived at Liverpool. He only thinks about playing football and loves it . Now for allegedly saying something he did have no idea was offensive his career could be in tatters. Liverpool have protected him because he meant no malice what so ever. They can also seen the long term future of the game if opposing teams start to play this game.

If there is blame to be laid at Liverpool’s door is that . At training players should be guided when fooling around like (Johnston and Suarez) to advise “Hey lads it al-right to say them things to each other” “But some sad bastard might use that against you on the pitch” Ok we failed there. This would have been so strange to a player like Suarez all he wants to do is play football and entertain.

If Suarez really abused Evra, why would Evra shake his hand? If Suarez didn't, why would he shake Evra's hand? The truth was there YNWA

L.F.C MANAGERS COMMENTS ON MAN U

Here are some comments Liverpool Managers have made on Man u affairs over the years .

(1)  Eric Cantona

Got upset when some young skinny . Crystal Palace supporter shouted some think like big nose .Cantona  launched himself at the kid in Kung Fu style at full force . The kid was lucky to escape serious injury not to mention at least half a dozen people around him . It was a broken neck lunge . He served a lengthy ban and was welcomed back at Old Trafford a hero .......

Liverpools Managers Comments   FUCK ALL

(2)  Rio Ferdinand

Where was he before the drugs test

Liverpools Managers Comments   FUCK ALL

(3) Wayne Rooney

Holding a gun to the clubs head. Leading to grovelling TV press conferences by the manager.

Liverpools Managers Comments   FUCK ALL

(4) David Beckham

Receiving an eye injury from a fuming drunken manager. He left not long after.

Liverpools Managers Comments   FUCK ALL

(5)Ryan Giggs

Getting the sports personality of the year award. Being called the perfect role model for any young aspiring sports person . All the time out shagging every night including his brothers wife . Dragging the Clubs name in the shit across social networks. Due to some farcical gagging order.

Liverpools Managers Comments   FUCK ALL

To name but a few .

So keep your whisky nose out of are affairs . People who live in glass house should not throw stones .
No manager should comment on the affairs and running of any club other than their own. Criticizing  actual play on the field is the deal .

FOOTBALLERS ARE NOT BANKERS

News and media channels recently have tried to compare footballers wages with the wages and bonuses that bankers receive . With the argument  why be upset at the money bankers get when footballers are on £200.000k a week .

GAZZA IN HIS PRIME
Personally I could not give a toss how much footballers get paid . For me they have just got to tick one box that when that white line is crossed they give a 100% for the club . I don't care if they were crossing white lines of an other sort the night before in a other club . Out with this model or that bimbo drinking this or drinking that as long as they give there all and do the job on the pitch . If they do not deliver this well they are up the road many  footballer has ended up on the scrap heap in their early 20s. No pension plan there or if there was it has a good chance of being wiped out by the actions of greedy bankers . If a footballers career lasts any where near  20years  he or she will be very lucky . So they very much have to keep one eye on the future . So big wages boot deals media appearances go along way to putting minds at rest . So they can give their best for what ever club they are involved with.

GAZZA NOT ALL THAT LONG AFTER
Bankers get huge wages bonuses for what ever happens as the credit crunch proves . Bankers careers can last  50 years plus plenty of time to financially secure their family's for generations to come. With one stroke of a pen or push of a button. so to compere the two occupations is ridiculous .

BOB DIAMOND THE PARASITE THEN
BOB DIAMOND THE PARASITE NOW

Footballers are the same as the working class supporter . They just get a large sums of money over a sort period of time . Which in most cases has got to be used wisely to finance the rest of their lives .. Countless footballers have fell on stoney ground and will continue to do so . You very rarely hear of bankers who have ended up that way  . With Footballers we pay for skill . With bankers we pay for every think WANKERS

Suarez v Soulless hole (Old Trafford)

Today when Suarez plays it will change Old Trafford . Here are a few things that are normal on match days.

*No atmosphere . (including when they play liverpool)

**void of any meaningfull or witty songs .

***There are no songs

****Lack of abillty to get behind the team. The song "YOU ONLY SING WHEN YOUR WINNING" had to of been created with Old Trafford in mind.

*****Strange Smell stays in the nostrals for days after .

*******To sum it up in one simple statment is

ITS A FUCKING SOUL-LESS HOLE (on a hiped up industrial estate

Today all attention will be on Suarez . He can change Old Trafford back to being to a Soul-less hole in one swift move . They will be more worried about that every time he gets the ball.I have watched Suarez play for three years now. He will relish that fact and nail them . The Mancs will be watching Suarez more than their own players he will love that . He will take it as a cup final bide his time and punish them.......

OLD TRAFFORD WILL NEVER BE THIS!!!!

Harry Redknapp or Arthur Daley

What are we going get with Harry Redknapp him or Arthur Daley . Or do we care. Well on the Arthur Daley front Harry is Arthur and we love him for it . We all know he is a lover able rogue the public and collegues take him under their protective wings. We seem to know his faults but love him for that. His wheeler dealer ways are legendary in the transfer merry go round . Making shrewd moves for players as if he was buying and selling cars. He bends the rules slightly but as with Arthur Daley every one around him takes that for granted . As for minders he has got everyone round him they will all naturally protect him from whatever . As the recent court case has just shown . So will it be good for England???

Yes when a team want to protect a manager you tend to get a fighting team . Harrys teams always show fight if any team needs that England do .

So what is against him taking the England job I should imagain he would take a lot of people with him . It is no secret that Harry likes a gang round him . Its most certain it will be jobs for the boys. He has already said in the past he might get bored without the day to day training. Interaction with the players and lack of competitive games .

But as with Arthur Daley the person who will have the final say will be

HER IN DOORS . Mrs Redknapp

Street Footie Liverpool style

Liverpool team training in the main stand car park
Growing up in Liverpool playing football in the street . I would oftern wondered who invented the diffrent types of games we played. I remember being told by one of my older in the know mates that a lot of them stemed from Melwood . This has always stuck in my head so with Mellwood always being on the telly I have decided to investagate.

The one game that is most likley to have a conection to Mellwood that I can put my finger on is S.P.O.T . A one touch game you had to score in a chalk drawn goal on a wall . If you missed you were on S . The next player would have a easy penlty shot to start again .(Sort of football squash) When you reached SPOT you were out. I remember full stops commers and underlining comming into play for longer games.

At Melwood there was four large wooden walls that the players would use. So I can see that one having some wieght behind it. At Melwood Shankly introduced fitness training, including diet assessment, and skills training including using an artificial goal painted on a convenient wall, split into eight sections which he would demand the players hit each time.

Sixty Seconds was a another game (Headers and volleys and Goalkeeper training) The keeper counts to sixty when he concedes from a header or a full volley he starts from zero . But the strikers have to score twice and so on. When the keeper reaches sixty the strikers have only one chance when a strikers misses he goes in goal...It was rumored Keegan and Toshack would train this way a lot it makes sense

Who knows is that what Suarez and Surridge are up to at the moment. It would be great if they could get to the level that Keegan and Toshack did.

There was also a five a side game we would play called saddles were you would have to hit the goal posts instead of scoring goals.Double score if you hit the bar It was also two touch so the movement was the key to the game not a game for the unfit . So did this game have its origin on the fields of Melwood I don,t know . But if so we should stop using it now the number times we have hit the woodwork this season.

Then there was 3 and in (Wembley down south) The game that is know for the quicker you score the quicker you rest . The way games pan out rest is so important. (Its is a knackering game) I could not imagine what it would be like to play with top class professionals

So have these games got links with pro football training camps??? .

WHAT DO YOU THINK ????? DID YOU PLAY ANY OTHER STREET FOOTIE GAMES

Suarez now an other sting to our bow

SUAREZ IS NOW BACK

We have managed well without Suarez. But in the run up to ban although Suarez was his usual pain in the arse for opposition defenders . Our play was getting predictable every think was going through Suarez. He was getting noticeably frustrated with a huge risk of burn out possibly injury.

Now he has been rested having time to watch his team from the sidelines . We have changed tactics a few times in his absence whether we shut up shop or grinded teams down . With the exception of the Bolton game. (What the fuck happened there) We now have 3 or 4 different playing styles that will keep teams guessing . Instead of lets just feed Suarez all our opponents where getting happy with that . I am sure Suarez videos where top of the play lists in training grounds up and down the country . We were in danger of becoming a one trick pony .

Now if all goes to plan we will be anything but a one trick pony. Suarez is a very cleaver player as well as a amazing natural talent. He personally will have many new ideas to break defenses down . Having had eight games to study his team mates in detail. So what has his Uruguayan mind got in store for the opposition "who knows".

The great Liverpool sides of the past had one think in common they where always of top quality but most of all unpredictable . They would have a least five different ways they could play . Switching to whatever system was needed to win the game . VERY FEW TEAMS HAD THE CAPABILITY TO DEAL WITH THIS.

With the team using different systems over the past couple of months and getting results things are moving forward . With the return of Suarez things could rocket forward. In past 2 months the team has stayed tight and showed some teeth. Now with Suarez back in tow we will be now showing our fangs. I don't think other teams can handle that who ever they are . Leading me to the comment

"THE BIG RED WOLF IS BACK"

how far could it go

With the people of Egypt blaming the Government for the Port Said Football riot . It would not be the first time Governments have used football for BAD DEEDS

That first Soldier looks like Robbie Fowler

Salvadorian soldiers

Honduras and El Salvador's 1969 World Cup qualifiers sparked. The so called The Football war The fighting only lasted 100 hours before a outbreak of sanity brokered a truce. But killed somewhere between 2,000 and 6,000 people.

THE GOVERNMENTS WERE DEFIANTLY USING FOOTBALL TO INCITE

Before the first game, held in the Honduran capital Tegucigalpa on June 8 1969, the El Salvadorian side were kept up all night by riotous fans outside their hotel. They went on to lose 1-0. When the goal was scored – after about 10 minutes of injury time – one El Salvadorian lady back home reportedly shot herself through the heart. She was given a televised funeral, intended to whip up nationalist fervour before the return fixture a week later.

For the 2nd leg the El Salvadorians took the chance to repay Honduras’s inhospitality. As soon as the Hondurans arrived at the airport, Their star striker Enrique ‘The Rabbit’ Cardona, was the target with posters of him being sexually assaulted by a considerably larger rabbit. Other posters showed anyone vaguely black in the Honduran side with a bone through their nostrils.

quoted Cardona,

“I was used to that kind of stuff, but I could see my team-mates were upset,”
Then on the Friday before the game, the El Salvadorians killed two people outside our hotel. We went to stay in the Embassy instead.”

A 3-0 pummeling followed The team coach was quoted as saying. “We’re awfully lucky that we lost. Otherwise we wouldn’t be alive today.” The results left both countries’ hopes of becoming the first Central American side to qualify for the World Cup hinging on a deciding third match, to be played in Mexico City.

According to the El Salvadorian coach at the time, the Argentine Gregorio ‘Goyo’ Bundio, the whole team was called to the president’s house before the game. “He gave us some sweet bread and soft drinks and told me that – as a foreigner – I had to defend the national colours, because this match was for our national dignity”.

An estimated five thousand Salvadorians had travelled to the game, some doing the 770-mile journey on motorbike. El Salvador twice took the lead, but Honduras drew level, thanks to build-up from Cardona. In the second half, Bundio told his defenders to deal the striker in the only way they could.

Cardona. QUOTED

“They kicked me off the pitch!”

“I got a boot right in the chest. I’ve played in Spain, in England, in Ireland, and it’s never happened to me since.”

Honduras’s attacking threat was blunted, and right at the death Mon Rodríguez headed El Salvador’s winner.

SO THAT WAS THE EXCUSE THE GOVERNMENTS NEEDED

They triggered their people into war Ryszard Kapuscinki spent some of it with a Honduran soldier who was more interested in collecting dead men’s shoes for his family than obeying orders. “We soldiers didn’t have a clue,” says another Honduran veteran, Jose Luis Gutiérrez, who lost two relatives and a close friend in the war. “Only later did it come out that they’d be planning it all along. We went to war not knowing what we were fighting for or why. They just told us to defend the national sovereignty.”

El Salvador, with a better-prepared military, had dreamed of extending its tiny territory right across Honduras to the Atlantic. Nonetheless, six days after the invasion, its forces were bogged down a few kilometres from the border. So the two governments signed up to a truce, and limited their future disagreements to minor skirmishes and major court cases.

At most, the qualifiers were the straw that broke the camel’s back. “They abused football. They took advantage of us,” complains one surviving player about the politicians of the day. The countries’ real squabbles were very much off the pitch. Hundreds of thousands of El Salvadorians were living in Honduras illegally and, to the fury of El Salvadorian government.

SO FOOTBALL IS FOR THE PEOPLE!!! WHEN GOVERNMENTS GET INVOLVED THINGS GO BAD!!!

IT COULD OF BEEN US

The talk in the football last week was the riot in the Egypt city of Port Said . Which had now led to more riots and unrest in the capital Cairo.

The reason being that the Cairo club who had over 70 fans killed and where the victims of a government revenge plot . The Cairo club where heavy involved with the down fall of president Mubarak.

The Cairo clubs supporters claim the following incidents took place.

(1) The police turned a blind eye to the Port Said supporters bringing knives and clubs into the stadium (In other games they are always searched)

(2) The police lines where directly behind the goals on the pitch side of the running track Instead of directly in front of the crowd on the other side of the running track. To prevent any sign of a pitch invasion.

(3) After the pitch invasion the police did not do any think to stop the the Port Said supporters attacking players and Cairo Supporters .(Which T.V footage backs up their claims)

(4) Other more worrying claims that buses vans and car loads of individuals arrived at the stadium 15 minutes before the end of the game armed to the teeth with clubs and knives. They were allowed to enter the stadium at the Port Said end.

(5)The gates at the back of the Cairo supporters end had been locked cutting off their escape. (IT MUST OF BEEN HELL)

Many references have been made over the passed few day with Heysel stadium tragedy. I was at Heysel in my opinion It was what Heysel could of turned into.

(1) The ratio between Cairo supporters and Liverpool supporters was about the same outnumbered.

(2) The lack of action by the Belgium police to being under constant attack from Italian supporters going back to night before.

(3) The way things where going it would of been Liverpool supporters lying dead at the back of the crumbling terracing . STABBED CLUBBED OR SHOT THE ITALIANS HAD GUNS WHO TAKES A GUN TO A FOOTBALL GAME.

Was Heysel as politically motivated as Port Said looks like it was ?

(1) Why did the Italians have all the tickets ?

(a) A cash strapped group from a unemployed North West English City all be it the European Champions
(b)Or a group of free spending trendy so called cultural southern Europeans.
(WHO DO YOU THINK GOT ALL THE TICKETS)

(c) Corruption in Italian Government +Football was rife in the 80s (Brown envelops flying everywhere)

(2)After all it was round that time Liverpool where taking the Government on head on. With the likes of Derek Hatton (Blue Nose) and Liverpool city council on the verge of toppling Thatchers government.

(a)Thatcher was waiting for a chance to attack Liverpool

(3)Liverpool had been the victims of violent attacks the year before in Rome stabbings beatings A 13 year old Liverpool supporter left needing over 200 stitches the result of an attack by Roma supporters with a large knife. That stands out from many incidents over looked by what was a great victory to lift the cup for the 4th time . But after the game was hell they came at us down the grassy banks around the Olympic Stadium in Rome. How no Liverpool supporter were killed that night was miraculous I fought for my life that night. So around that time Italians had it in for Liverpool FC .

So that night at Heysel Stadium we are Scouses enough was enough we charged . We did not know a wall was going to fall crushing 39 people so so regrettable . But the way things where going that night it could of ended in Port Said situation. With Liverpool supporters in the Cairo clubs shoes . So think on MAN U supporters when you call us MURDERERS!!! . MAN U had trouble in Rome some years back when they where charging across the terracing to protect themselves did they think NO STOP!!!! A a wall is going to collapse.

DID THEY FUCK!!!! (GET REAL)

SO PORT SAID IS WHAT COULD OF HAPPENED AT HEYSEL!!!!!!

Footie Stories . Norm Wilson
Sore Throat Yellow Fingers .   Was my 1st book com-pleated in 2003

L.F.C runs in my veins . My mum and dad  met on a blind date in the late 50s . The venue The Sandon pub more or less the source  of the club . She was quickly converted as she was from a family of staunch blue noses growing up in Walton Village . I grew up in Walton having  many great memory's going the game . Better still my dad  had a driving school . Which many of the Liverpool team of the 60s and 70s used . It was great being close to players such as Roger Hunt ...Yeats ...Ross ...Highway...Strong to name a few .
Sore Throat Yellow Fingers . was my 1st book which was completed  2003.  Tells the story of the ill fated European Cup trip of 1985 in Brussels Belgium . A black day in the history of Liverpool F.C . It is told from the eyes of a mid 20s  lad who had followed Liverpool F.C home and away . It was also a welcome release. From the poverty and unemployment of the Thatcher years . Kids as young as 10 travelling to the far flung places of Europe on there own with no passport . A very street level form of education like it or not. But unique to Liverpool in those years . As in footie stories.... I used stories that have gone down in Liverpool F.C supporters folk law . So I hope you enjoy S.T.Y F. .By the way its what you come back with. After a long trip abroad done on the cheap. Hope it sheds more light on the mood and vibe surrounding that terrible night . CHEERS NORM...Y.N.W.A

footie stories (Lets Use John Terry )

Not that I am an avid England supporter I am to much to involved in my own club . I leave that to supporters of lower league clubs who rightly chase a bit of well deserved glory. I have been to one tournament in Germany in the 80s . It was a strange experience bossed about cockney knobs

"do this" "do that" "sing this" "don't sing that"  "Anyone who does the Mexican wave I will fucking kill you"

Shouted one  cockney sounding skin head in the stadium in Dusseldorf when England were playing Holland . We had enough of this shit and climbed out of the cage we where in . Jumping into the freedom of the Dutch supporters . Where spliffs and drinks were being handed about the crowd . We laughed at the cage that we had just been in .  England lost all their group stage games that tournament.

So if you don't trust your own what use is it getting excited about the team . Now days England supporters have different frustrations . The foreign press they do the muck raking and our press fall sluttishly onto the band wagon . Job done all before a major tournament team in free fall . All to the delight of the opposition who stay squeaky clean and laugh at the stupid Brits.

We must plan for this . The F.A by stripping Terry of the captains role have thought lets do it now get it over with . Wrong F.A they will now concentrate on finding something else which they will .

The F.A should of played it cool with the John Terry thing . Making it the pre tournament surprise  Keeping the European Press pack guessing . No big shocks for the team so they can consecrate on playing giving lower team supporters a whiff of glory .

P.S Do not want Gerrard to take the England captains job
